Find low-voltage spots and plan power tap placement with the SCMC G2 Track Voltage Tester. Designed and manufactured by Slot Car Mancave, this handheld slot car track tester helps you check rail voltage around your layout without dragging a wired multimeter around the track.
Slide the tester slowly along the rails and watch for voltage drops. This helps identify areas where your layout may benefit from additional power taps, especially on larger analog or digital slot car tracks.

Digital control units can fluctuate the voltage delivered to the track, so digital layouts may show a moving voltage reading. Watch for the lowest readings while moving around the layout to help identify weak spots.
Analog tracks using a regulated power supply should show a steadier reading when voltage is applied.
Fitment note: Some track brands may require light fitting or filing of the guide flag for best fit. Scalextric Sport track may require modification because the tester pins sit wide on the rails and may contact the plastic edge. Filing the outside edge of the pins may be required for Scalextric Sport use.
